Another method Two points of method: (1) Two waters, separated, zero pressure and house pressure, and (2) Use principle of heat-exchange to take heat from zero pressure to house pressure by running copper metal tubing with house pressure, inside the zero pressure water. The copper metal does a very good job of transferring the heat, and many times better than plastic or rubber. Mixing sand and water in the zero pressure water is probably better. Thin aluminum may contain the zero pressure water.

Thanks for the history, as well as the science; this is very interesting ..... especially the word about Germany being the most successful at solar and that Germany has LESS SUN THAN SEATTLE> that bit of news gives a lot of hope to the rest of us!!!

The Pacific NW does better than Florida as well as Germany - for PV. They may have more sun, but PV Panels does work as well if they get too hot.

California to Texas is a sweet zone for Solar Thermal however. We can do it fine in the NW, but they get better values for heating spaces as well as water, and pools.

Nice overview - apparently by the History Channel...who would display a higher quality picture.

Best Wishes to Nano-Solar - OR & WA are ready and want to Manufacture with you!
