GREENPOWERSCIENCE asked:

www.greenpowerscience.com This is a larger Stirling engine that has a 12v DC Permanent Magnet motor operating fixed as the flywheel bearing. It produces 15 Volt max with NO LOAD. This setup as is produces about 15 watts. The heat sink is a water cooled tank that is a bit short for the displacement piston but does work. I will be adding some heat sinks soon and testing it with the 56 inch dish and a Fresnel Lens. The motor/generator has an additional pulley that the other engine I have may be …

Man you re-engineer your power transmission !

  2. shorty40merza says:

hey Dan your sure it produces 15 watts? that is CRAZY if its true man. Cause i have a mirror 4 times more area than your 35 inch one so that means it can give me 60 watts with this engine. I really want to make one like this engine

This is way more practical than burning stick and melting bits of broken glass, I’m looking forward to seeing the future videos with this engine. This video has just earned you one more subscriber!

hey dan. I have a couple of hot water heaters Im cutting up for the startings of a large stirling engine. Any one know how many horsepower the Ryder ericcson stirling engines were?

    This is great!!!
This can be a perfect science project.

As something of an electric vehicle buff, I’m fairly familiar with DC electric motors. You may want to check that you have the motor turning in the correct direction; it will generate current in either direction, but it will generate more current (and less resistive heat) when turning in one direction rather than the other due to the internal brushing attitude.

for some reason that make me think of old steam engines? looks like it generates a lot of heat. man all these people willing to do the work on stuff to help a+ cant wait to see tomorrow! maybe get some ideas myself?

i think its more practical to use by this way the energy from sun. you
can get more electricity power and the cost to create this machine is lower
    than photovoltaic systems

Nice vid.. What if you installed a peltier at focal point… with the cool side glued to a water bowl… you would get some wattage – no moving parts, etc.. for a while…

As always I love your innovation!
I’ve been tempted to build something like this, maybe based on the old Mother Earth News solar collector plans and an upscaled Gingery Sterling engine.

If it can generate enough power per day to see an average person through the night with LED lighting, and can be built just out of home metal castings and junk, then you’re REALLY on to something!

I’ve always thought it’d be possible to track the sun with muscle wire. It shrinks when heated. If several muscle wires are attached like cables between the mirror and its target, when the hot point drifts away from the ideal point on the Stirling, the sunlight hits the wire, which contracts and pulls the mirror back to the correct orientation.

  16. tetekofa says:

    - yea, I want to do the same thing, have you figured out how to track the sun ?

Eh the Illuminati=reptilian kin known as jinn, naga, demons, dragons, Rothschilds, Rockefellars, Windsors, Warburgs, Al Gore & Pike that rule secret societies including Freemasonry. Their agenda: force-vaccinate many with toxic swine flu vaccines, WW3, implement internet 2 & Codex Alimentarius then stage an alien invasion to get a fascist world government with us chipped. I’m not sure why we need a variety of solutions as you suggested. If we find one that works well universally, then we ought to go with it. Hydrogen, magnetic motors and stirling engines are in the lead, I think.

    Hello Dan
I was wanting to know what happens if you back this up with a fresnell lens on the cool side of the cylinder at the same time as the mirror? That is the design that I have in mind. I want to use a 60″ sat dish with the motors to track the sun accross the sky so you can have peak output all day long. Thanx day for all your work.
    Best regards Mark

I’m willing to bet the 10 mega ohm impedance of the VOM slowed the engine down.

I’d do a flatfooted backflip if it was capable of outputting more than .5 amps at 12 volts

    you are a thinker!

I am an engineer & love this stuff! You are building a future! BUT WTF! “kiss cars good bye” WOW you guys are out there! I bet your pushin for $10gl Dino fuel (old solar) too! Energy makes the world go round! Why not focus on a “no carbon car” I heard that the cars of today are 90% less carbon emissions than the 70s. Sounds like we are going the right way! You guys think green but make your selves look like you need a religion or somting? Clean is good! Green is blue!!
    Dan like ur VID

  23. jubathoff says:

How many Watts are you getting out of this at full power?

  24. platinumc3ll says:

Yes it can be stored :)

  25. lazimofo90 says:

you should paint the engine in black paint so that it absorbs more heat
